Wizz Air, the largest low-cost, low-fare carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, and the fastest growing airline in the entire continent announced today that as part of the agreement with Indigo Partners, it signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase 20 Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The current order will be delivered within three years from 2023. The A321XLR variant will have 239 seats, the same as the A321neo to ensure total fleet compatibility with the existing Wizz Air fleet. The finalization of the order is subject to approval by the shareholders of Wizz Air.
The announcement will raise orders for pending aircraft from Wizz Air with Airbus to 276 aircraft that will be delivered until 2026.
