Turkey received 21.45% more international tourists in 2018

Turkey received a total of 39.5 million tourists in 2018, 21.45% more than the previous year, according to the Tourism Office of the country.

Tourism revenues grew by 12.3%, reaching a total of 29.5 million dollars (26 million euros), with an average expenditure of 647 dollars (571 euros) per person.

Between January and December 2018, more than 13.4 million tourists visited Istanbul, 24.1% more. As for the first two months of 2019, tourists to this city have increased by 13.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1.9 million.
