Tourist excursions with fishermen from Mallorca and Menorca increase by 50% during 2018

The tourist excursions with “traditional fishermen” of Mallorca and Menorca have increased by 50 percent during 2018 compared to the previous year, which amounts to a total of 255 excursions attended by more than 800 tourists.

As reported by the company ‘Pescaturismo’ in a statement, in relation to the origin of tourists, predominantly Germans, 39.3 percent, but also highlight South Korea, South Africa and New Zealand.

The concept of pescaturismo consists of making tourist excursions on professional fishing boats “to live the experience” throughout the year and, in this sense, during the last week of December six excursions were made, two in Palma, three in Andratx and one in Alcúdia.

The fishermen, meanwhile, have managed to surpass, in some cases, the 8,500 euros thanks to their collaboration with this activity.
