The national market is the most reserved destination for the British
The bed bank Hotelbeds ensures that the United Kingdom remains for the second year in a row as the main issuing market for the company,
after Tourico Holidays and GTA joined the company last year
The figures, revealed in the framework of the World Travel Market (WTM) that is being held these days in London, also show that most of the reserves have been domestic.
The analysis of destination trends shows that Orlando (Florida) is the main international destination for British tourists. The list is followed by Mallorca, which climbs one position compared to last year, Tenerife, the Algarve and New York.
On the other hand, Rome is located as the main city destination, followed by Paris. Both experienced a strong growth during the last fiscal year in reserved hotel nights.
Hotelbeds participates these days in the WTM in London, which takes place on 5, 6 and 7 November in the British capital. On Tuesday, November 6 at 11:15 a.m., the company will organize a round table entitled ‘Distribution of ancillaries in the B2B environment: challenges and expectations’ at the Travel Forward conference.
The panel will explore the value proposition of B2B complementary solutions, both from the point of view of the provider (technology platforms) and the client (online travel agencies, tour operators and travel agencies).
In addition to analyzing the opportunities presented by the sector, it will also cover the difficulties and technological challenges posed by rapid growth.
