The price of hotels in Barcelona increases up to 28% during the MWC

KAYAK has analyzed the prices of international flights and the price of hotels during the week of MWC, the largest mobile technology fair in the world held in Barcelona

This new edition, which will be held from 25 to 28 February at the Fira de Barcelona, ​​will have more than 2400 exhibitors and expects to exceed 107,000 attendees at the last edition.

Barcelona: international technology hub

Taking into account the international character of MWC, KAYAK experts, after searching the different hotels in Barcelona during the dates on which the fair is held, have concluded that the price of a room can go up to 28% in 3 and 4 star hotels.

In parallel, putting the focus on the countries where most searches have been made to fly to Barcelona during this week, the global nature of this fair is evident, since 4 of these 10 countries are outside Europe. So, while the price of hotels has gone up during these dates; the price to fly to Barcelona from the main European and American markets has decreased by almost 18% on average. Of particular note are Germany (-34%), Mexico (-34%) and Argentina (-31%).
