In a lease for a minimum term of ten years
The French hotel chain B & B will be the first to establish itself in Valdebebas, an urban development located northwest of Madrid after signing a lease with Filasa, owner of the land, for a minimum term of 10 years.
The rented land consists of a buildable area of 8,000 meters in which a project will be carried out by the architect Alberto Martín De Lucio consisting of two buildings: one for the hotel with a buildable area of 4,400 square meters and another for offices 3,200 square meters plus a local of 400 square meters.
The building is projected as a stepped structure that responds to the 150 rooms that will feature the hotel, and a bucket that will house the offices. The Martín de Lucio studio has been commissioned to carry out previously emblematic works such as the Australls Tower or the Borealis Tower.
In this way, the hotel becomes the first large hotel group to settle in the Valdebebas Fintech District, a business space of more than one million square meters that plans to house state-of-the-art buildings in a green environment with commercial and sports facilities, next to the sports city of Real Madrid and Ifema and with direct access to the airport and the main access roads to the city center.
B & B HOTELS currently has 29 hotels in Spain and one in Portugal. In 2017 the company closed the rental of the new ‘B & B Hotel Cartagena’, the extension of the ‘B & B Hotel Viladecans’ and the opening of the new ‘B & B Hotel Vigo’. In February of this year, it closed the acquisition of seven hotels of the H2 Hoteles chain.
