The Costa del Sol this weekend has shown its range of congresses to more than 200 German agencies and a large group of collaborators, during the celebration of the XXV Annual TSS GROUP Congress that took place in Dresden (Germany).
The entity has traveled to Germany with the aim of strengthening commercial relations with this consortium of German and Polish travel agencies and having an outstanding presence in the congress.
The general director of Tourism Costa del Sol, Arturo Bernal, said that among the main objectives of this meeting is also “to communicate to agents the great variety of segments and products offered by the destination, especially for the months outside the low season, as well as establish contact with the main travel agencies of this market and get information that contributes to improve the market share of Malaga- Costa del Sol “.
TSS Group, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, is the largest independent tourism sales organization in Europe. It has a team of more than 3,500 travel agencies and almost 12,000 employees that generate a turnover of more than 5,000 million euros a year.
According to Bernal, this meeting has made available to the Costa del Sol “various access platforms to the most important TSS agencies, the representatives of the most attractive destinations, the main providers of tourist services and a wide selection of support institutions ”
This “more personal” formula, said Tourism Director Costa del Sol, “is the one that best meets the requirements of a sector undergoing major changes, because it allows all actors to explore the opportunities in the best possible way, materializing Your results”.
“A meeting of the sector for the sector with great multiplier effect, collaborating in its positioning strategy: the opportunity to strengthen and create personal relationships among the vast network of organizations, companies and teams in the tourism sector with which TSS Group cooperates”, has assured Bernal.
MORE GERMAN TRAVELERS
German travelers have increased by 8.1 percent from January to April of this year compared to the same date in 2017. During these months, a total of 84,727 Germans chose the Costa del Sol as their destination, compared to 78,370 the previous year .
The beaches, climate and tourist resources of the destination are the main aspects that influence the German tourist to choose the Costa del Sol, but also mention the quality-price, connectivity, quality of life and hospitality of the Malaga .
Although their main motivations are sun and beach, followed by culture, they are also interested in hiking, gastronomy, leisure and golf. This means that the German tourist considers his visit to the Costa del Sol as a ‘very positive’ experience in 75% of the cases or ‘positive’ in 23% of the cases, giving a score of 9, 08 out of ten, that is to say, an outstanding one. 97 percent of respondents recommend the destination.
Among other characteristics of the German tourist is that his average stay is 8.6 days, the cost is 124 euros a day, which in 89 percent of cases travel as a couple and their average age is 46.4 years. In 71 percent of cases, they are employed.
Finally, the Internet is the main booking channel, (74% of cases), followed by travel agencies (18%.
