At present, with the rental of a house or an apartment on the beach only during the summer period the owners can get an average benefit of about 712 euros per week, “although the same does not happen during the rest of the year when the house remains unoccupied while continuing to generate expenses. ”
To obtain profitability on a property on the coast for a longer period of time in areas that are not Malaga, Alicante, Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, Self Bank proposes to bet well or for holiday rental platforms or do it through a real estate.
In the first case, he points out that the holiday rental platforms offer flexibility and the possibility of renting in small periods of time, which allows to obtain more income than if it were rented for a long season because the high demand favors the price adjustment.
However, remember that this modality implies being present in the locality where the property is held. On the other hand, regarding the rent through real estate, Self Bank notes that, although the company takes commission and you have to pay taxes such as VAT for its management, it generates tranquility, because it allows you to lease the house for several months.
The exchange of houses or the ‘house or pet sitting’, moving to another home to keep the house or take care of pets, are other formulas that are getting more and more followers.
For Self Bank, the exchange of houses is a good option to visit countries abroad, although remember that this option does not obtain a direct economic benefit. For its part, the ‘house or pet sitting’ allows you to travel and save the costs of maintaining the house or paying someone because they keep an eye on pets.
