Swiss invests 36 million in its new ‘premium economy class’ that will launch in 2021

The airline Swiss, of the German group Lufhtansa, has announced that it will introduce a new ‘Premium Economy’ class in its fleet of long-haul aircraft starting in the spring of 2021 for which it will invest around 40 million Swiss francs (36 million Swiss francs). euros) to install the new class in its Boeing 777 fleet.

The new class, which will complement the three existing classes (First, Business and Economy) will be initially available on their Boeing 777-300ER, each of which will offer 24 seats of ‘Premium Economy Class’. In the medium term, the new product will be available throughout the company’s long-range fleet.

The new ‘Premium Economy Class’ has a newly designed seat that significantly expands legroom and facilitates movement.

The decision to incorporate this new class on board is supported by the positive experiences that Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines, its partners in the Lufthansa Group, are having with this same product.
