Spain is the third European country for the second year in a row to book more trips after the ‘Blue Monde’ – the saddest day of the year -, according to the online travel agency eDreams, with France and Germany leading the ranking.
As reported by the company in a press release, during the last three years-2016, 2017 and 2018-the data recorded on the group’s platforms have highlighted the tendency to book trips the following day to ‘Blue Monday’ to “recover from this date so sad. ”
Worldwide, the short distance getaway is the option most chosen by users, as revealed by the global data of the travel company, with Paris as the most popular destination in 2018 followed closely by London, Barcelona, Lisbon and Amsterdam
As for the Spanish, Madrid was the most reserved destination the day after the ‘Blue Monday’ followed by Paris and London.
