The ultra luxury cruise company Silversea continues with its commitment to bring its guests to the authentic beauty of the world, this time with the option of excursions on land with better accessibility for travelers with reduced mobility. Through the association Accessible Travel Solutions, a company dedicated to expanding the opportunity to travel to people with mobility problems, Silversea presents new excursions that address the special needs of these travelers. These are already available in nine destinations in the Caribbean, and more options are being developed for next summer for trips to the Mediterranean.

Accessible Pitons and Waterfalls – Castries, St. Lucia

The natural wonders and the cultural richness of Santa Lucia will be discovered during this fun excursion around the island for a whole day. Among the highlights is a visit to the charming fishing village of Anse La Raye, a special stop to witness and photograph the majestic pythons, and access to a path of the Soufrière Diamond Botanical Gardens to admire the beauty of its Cascade.

This adventure is a fun way to experience first-hand the fascinating wildlife of the Roatan Islands and their nature. The participants of this excursion will interact with primates in a local monkey sanctuary, discover crafts in a local market, enjoy a park of marine fauna and iguanas and an inspiring tour of the island.


Accessible St. Kitts – Basseterre, St. Kitts

The colors, the colonial charm and the intact natural beauty of San Cristóbal can easily be appreciated during this experience with better accessibility. Among the highlights is the opportunity to explore the Brimstone Hill fortress, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a visit to the historic Romney Manor, and a special stop to admire the spectacular views of the island and the ocean from Timothy Hill Scenic Outlook.

Accessible Maya experience and scenic ride – Cozumel, Mexico

The objective of this tour is to discover the authentic Mayan culture getting closer to this civilization. A guided and comfortable trip around Cozumel that stops at the cultural center to appreciate the ancient Mayan life knowing the ceremonies and the gastronomy that includes tortillas and chocolate. Afterwards, guests can marvel at a fascinating view of the ancient island from the ruins of El Cetral. Finally, for a greater immersion in the charms of this tropical island, there will be time to relax on the fully accessible beaches and enjoy a tequila tasting.


Accessible Granada – St. George’s, Granada

The cultural and natural treasures of Granada are easily discovered in this enriching exploration of the island of spices par excellence. Participants will savor the aromas of fresh nutmeg, cocoa and vanilla at a local spice market. They will also visit a nutmeg factory and learn about the origins of the spice trade in the historic Dougaldston Spice Estate. This adventure will be completed with a panoramic tour through the rainforest in the Grand Etang National Park.
