RIU Hotels & Resorts has successfully completed the purchase of the Hotel Riu Buena Vista, located in the south of Tenerife, after which the company will proceed with its renovation with a planned investment of 30 million euros.
The hotel was being operated by the chain since 2008, but it has now been when the purchase of the building has been completed, with the aim of investing in a major reform that will modernize the establishment.
RIU has three hotels in the south of Tenerife. The ‘Riu Palace Tenerife’ and ‘Riu Arecas’ were completely renovated in 2015, now, to complete the modernization of their offer in the destination, just missing the renovation of the ‘Riu Buena Vista’ which will be possible after purchase.
The four-star hotel has All-Inclusive service, 509 rooms, two restaurants and three bars. The reform, planned for the year 2020, will mean an important qualitative improvement of the facilities, with a new design and new services.
Grupo RIU has an ambitious expansion plan for the next five years, with a strong commitment to new destinations, especially in Asia, and major cities in the world where it plans to implement its Riu Plaza urban hotels.
