RIU opens its first water park in Jamaica

RIU Hotels & Resorts has completely renovated the hotel ‘Riu Ocho Rios’, a resort in Jamaica that was originally opened in 2005 and now incorporates new features such as new family rooms and a water park in its facilities.

The hotel chain opened its first hotel in Jamaica in 2001 and now has six resorts totaling more than 3,000 rooms. Two are located in Negril, three in Montego Bay and one in Ocho Rios. For next year, RIU has already planned the reform of the ‘Riu Montego Bay’, with which all its offer in the country will be completely renovated or will be of recent construction.

Jamaica’s hotel renovation work has consisted of the integral renovation of all rooms, restaurants, bars, and common areas, in addition to having expanded its facilities and services

The biggest innovation that this reform brings is the introduction of the first RIU water park in Jamaica, an attraction that has successfully penetrated among the chain’s clients in Mexico (Los Cabos, Costa Mujeres and Mazatlan) and in the Dominican Republic (Punta Cane).
