Qatar Airways has presented at the inauguration of the Kuwait Aviation Show two of the newest aircraft in its fleet and its plans for 2020, which include eight new destinations worldwide.
The eight additional destinations that will be added to the airline’s network in 2020 will be Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan), Cebu (Philippines), Accra (Ghana), Trabzon (Turkey), Luanda (Angola), Lyon (France) and Siem Reap (Cambodia).
«With these new routes, our operations will expand to 177 destinations worldwide, strengthening our position as one of the airlines with the most connections worldwide,» said the CEO of the Qatar Airways Group, Akbar Al Baker.
Qatar Airways currently has a fleet of more than 250 airplanes that fly, through its ‘hub’, Hamad International Airport (HIA), to more than 160 destinations worldwide.
The national airline of the State of Qatar launched in 2019 new destinations including Lisbon (Portugal), Malta, Rabat (Morocco), Davao (Philippines), Izmir (Turkey), Mogadishu (Somalia) and Gaborone (Botswana).
