Former US President Barack Obama will visit Seville in April to participate as a keynote speaker at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) world summit.
This has been confirmed to Europa Press municipal sources, who have pointed out that the exact date in which Obama will arrive in the city is not yet known, but they have assured that he will be the main speaker of this summit that takes place in the capital of Seville between on April 2 and 4
The mayor of Seville, Juan Espadas, has published in his Twitter account, consulted by Europa Press, that “Obama will come to the city and will be the main speaker” of the World Tourism Summit.
“In April, Seville will host the largest WTTC tourism world summit, Barack Obama will come to the city and will be the main speaker of this great event,” said the mayor of the city.
It should be remembered that Barack Obama, when he was president of the United States, planned to visit Seville as part of a trip to Spain, but decided to shorten his visit one day before returning to his country as a result of the attacks in Dallas (Texas). Five police officers died.
In this way, the view that Obama had planned to do to Seville in which he was going to tour the center of the city accompanied by the Spanish monarch was dropped from the program.
