Minor Hotels will manage two new properties in Doha (Qatar)

The investor, operator and hotel owner Minor Hotels has signed an agreement with a private developer for the management of two properties in Doha (Qatar), which will be operated under the luxury brand Anantara and NH Collection.

Currently in the pre-opening phase, ‘The Vyra Suites’ will be operated under the NH Collection brand and will feature 228 apartments located in West Bay, the prestigious Doha financial district that hosts much of the city’s most modern infrastructure.

Located in an area full of commercial skyscrapers, large-scale multi-purpose residential projects and government entities, the new 44-story building consists of 72 one-bedroom, 144 two-bedroom and 12 three-bedroom apartments, as well as a restaurant, gym , indoor pool, kids club, youth area and multiple meeting rooms.

The NH Collection hotel in Doha will be the first of the brand in the Middle East and the first outside the natural markets of this brand, Europe and South America.

On the other hand, the hotel ‘Plaza Doha Anantara Hotels & Suites’ is under construction in the Um Ghuwelina area, 15 minutes from Hamad International Airport.

The 292-property property is expected to become an iconic luxury hotel in Doha that will offer 118 rooms and 174 apartment suites. ‘Doha Plaza Anantara Hotels & Suites’ will include a varied gastronomic offer in addition to an atrium with a patio.

Other hotel facilities will include a spa and wellness area, an infinity rooftop pool, an indoor pool, a kids club, a gym and a 1,200-square-meter lounge, along with six other meeting rooms.

The CEO of NH Hotel Group, Ramón Aragonés, said that «the entry of NH Collection for the first time in the Middle East accelerates the expansion of this brand outside its natural markets in Europe and Latin America, where it already has a consolidated and recognized presence «.

Minor Hotels currently operates 17 properties in the Middle East, including Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, three properties under the Tivoli brand and one Oaks in Qatar, as well as a solid portfolio with many developing properties in the Middle East and North Africa region .
