La Gomera will increase the number of cruise passengers by 13% over the next four months, a period in which up to 32 stopovers are expected, as reported by the Cabildo.

In this sense, this Saturday the cruise ship Mein Schiff 1 arrived at the Port of San Sebastián, which opened the new cruise season.

Here, the island president, Casimiro Curbelo, said that the new season will bring 8,000 more cruise passengers to La Gomera than last year, an increase of 13% that will be reflected “in more activities and more expenses on the Island.”

He also explained that according to the forecasts, the average cost will reach 29 euros per tourist, which translates into a global expenditure of more than 1.7 million euros in the next four months.
