Seabourn, the best ultra luxury cruise line in the world, continues its mission to inspire and inform passengers by announcing the addition of acclaimed Antarctic explorer Colin O’Brady to his Conversations Program in his first Antarctic navigation of the season, an itinerary of 21 days with departure from San Antonio, (Santiago), Chile and that will sail through Patagonia and Antarctica.
O’Brady, 33, made headlines around the world on December 26, 2018, when he became the first person to cross the mass of Antarctica alone, without the help of comets or refueling. He achieved the feat in 54 days, covering almost 1,500 km. along the way, including more than 123 km in the last stretch, in which he was 32 hours without sleep.
O’Brady is an American athlete of professional resistance who has achieved four world records in his career. He grew up exploring the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and cultivated a passion for outdoor adventure. In 2016, Colin achieved speed records for the Grand Slam Explorers and Seven Summits, an international mountaineering challenge that involves climbing the highest mountain on all continents, including Everest and skiing at the north and south poles. In 2018 he broke the speed record when only 21 days when he scored the highest point in each of the 50 states of the United States.
