Ibiza will strengthen the tourist promotion to face the ‘Brexit’

The Consell de Ibiza will reinforce the tourist promotion to face Brexit, as announced by the president of the institution, Vicent Torres. Thus, the promotion actions in the British market will be intensified, boosting other upstream issuers, such as North America.

The Consell has already announced that it will hold a promotional event on February 2 in Glasgow. Torres also detailed the promotion of Ibiza at the Fitur tourist fair in Madrid, ensuring that the island will be presented in the capital “with a clear objective: to continue with the promotion of a unique and different Ibiza that has attractions throughout the months of the year , such as gastronomy, cultural activities, landscape and nature, “he said.

One of the novelties will be the bet of the product Ibiza as a destination for weddings, with a new brochure and promotion actions, since the Island “has many possibilities to continue growing in a sector that is increasingly in demand”.

According to the president, the will is for 2019 to repeat a “very good tourist season, which will continue to stretch at the extremes.”

Torres added that he is committed to “quality tourism” which is the “one that values and respects the place he visits”, betting on maintaining the “leadership situation as a reference tourist destination in the Mediterranean market, with more occupation outside of the months of high season, with a sustainable tourism model, that is orderly and that is for the future “.

The Consell stressed that the author of the design of the stand of Ibiza, about 200 square meters, is Susana Sevilla, who has incorporated the reproduction of elements and materials from Ibiza, such as the walls.

As he said, the goal is for the visitor to “feel like he is in Ibiza, a quiet Ibiza”. The island will also be present in the Fitur LGTBi space and will have a table at the Balearic stand.

As for the presentations, the sporting calendar of Ibiza will be presented at an event with Miguel Induráin, as well as cultural or gastronomic events, among others.
