Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening on September 10 of its new luxury hotel in Havana, the ‘Iberostar Grand Packard’, with 321 rooms.
The hotel will start operating from next week at full capacity, coinciding with the start of the high season of tourism in Cuba. This opening, before the scheduled date, has been possible thanks to the fulfillment of deadlines during the execution of the works.
The historic establishment, which hosted Pablo Neruda or Marlon Brando, coincides with the preparations for the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana and the 25th anniversary of the hotel chain’s presence in Cuba.
25 YEARS OF COMMITMENT WITH CUBA
This year, Iberostar has launched eight new establishments in the country reaffirming its commitment to key destinations and establishing itself in places such as Santiago de Cuba, Holguin and Havana.
Since the opening of the first hotel in 1993 and up to 20 establishments of 4 and 5 stars with which it currently has, the opening of the ‘Iberostar Grand Packard’ will be the ‘golden hour’ for 2018.
The next goals of the hotel company include reaching 12,000 rooms on the island in 2020.
