The hotels in the districts of Barcelona – without taking into account the Catalan capital or the Barcelonés – increased their occupancy levels this Easter, surpassing that of 2018, while rural tourism accommodation was maintained and campsites decreased, cause of weather conditions.
They are data of a survey of the Laboratory of Tourism of the Delegation of Barcelona, that has stood out this Monday in an official notice that the occupation in the lodgings of tourism stood at 92.3% in the holidays of Holy Week – of the 18 to April 21 -.
Taking into account all the nights of Easter Week – from April 12 to 21 -, rural tourism establishments registered an average occupation of 57.3%, 3.4 percentage points more than in the same festive period of the previous year .
The average occupancy in hotel establishments was 76% during the entire Holy Week, 3.8 points more than in 2018, and the maximum growth was concentrated on holidays, when the occupation was 80.8% on average, 5.4 more points.
The campsites registered an occupation lower than that of 2018 because of the instability of the time, and reached a 56.2% in the global of the Holy Week – 7.9 points less – and 67.4% –10 , 5 points less– on holidays.
