Footballer Gerard Piqué will promote Catalonia as a tourist destination in a campaign of the Catalan Agència de Turisme (ACT) of the Generalitat, based on the “experiences and landscapes” of his life, and through his international brand and recognition.
In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Enterprise and Knowledge has explained that the video it has launched is part of the Catalunya Advisors program and aims to promote tourism “through a more emotional story, focused on people, their territory and their experiences. ”
The recording, made in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, shows places that have a link with the athlete, such as Sant Guim de Freixenet, Noguera Pallaresa (Lleida), Garrotxa and Costa Brava (Girona), as well as the city from Barcelona.
“I think that everyone would have to come to Catalonia, at least once in a lifetime,” he says in the Piqué video, which will also disseminate promotional content through their profiles on social networks, an action that multiplies the scope of the campaign.
The Catalunya Advisors program, launched since 2015, has the collaboration of international eco personalities such as Benedetta Tagliabue, Kilian Jornet, the Roca brothers, Carles Puyol and Vanessa Lorenzo.
