Five regions of France and Spain come together to improve cross-border tourism competitiveness

Five regions in France and Spain have come together to improve the competitiveness of the tourism and agri-food sectors of the cross-border space.

The project has been called GATURI, Gastronomy and Agrifood for a Unique International Tourist destination.

The creation of the ‘Unique Destination’ will be a showcase to the world of the five territories that participate in the project: Basque Country, La Rioja, Navarra, Pays Basque and Béarn.

On Thursday, January 16, the first project launch meeting was held in the presence of representatives from the five territories and next Thursday, January 23, the project will be officially presented within the framework of the Fitur International Tourism Fair.

The project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the POCTEFA program.
