eDreams Odigeo launches an augmented reality service to verify if the luggage can go in the cabin

eDreams Odigeo has incorporated a new enhanced augmentation service, available through its mobile applications, which allows the user to scan the hand luggage with the mobile phone camera to check if the size meets the requirements of the airline chosen to travel.

With this tool, the online travel agency continues to strengthen its commitment to the personalization of travel experiences through state-of-the-art technology.

The new functionality is customized according to the characteristics of the reservation of each client and the requirements set by the airline itself, the company explains in a press release. If the baggage does not comply with the established, the traveler can extend their franchise directly from the mobile application.

The days prior to the start of the trip are those that generate greater stress and anxiety for travelers due to last-minute preparations such as hand luggage restrictions, according to the latest international study of the firm, which seeks to facilitate travel experiences to its more than 18.5 million annual users.

This free service covers 80% of the flights sold through eDreams Odigeo and is available for iOS devices (version 11 or higher). The augmented reality scanner adds to other services included in the mobile applications of its brands (eDreams, GO Voyages, Opodo and Travellink) which, according to the company, are among the most valued by users with an average score of 4, 5 out of 5
