eDreams Odigeo has implemented a flight cancellation guarantee that allows its customers to cancel them up to 24 hours before departure, with a refund of 80% of the ticket price.
According to the travel agency ‘online’ in a statement, the option ‘Cancel for any reason’ offers more flexibility to travelers and the guaranteed return of 80% of the price if the trip is affected by unforeseen circumstances such as illness, labor commitments or, simply, a change of plans.
In the cancellation process no explanation will be requested at any time of the management, so that travelers simply have to call the eDreams Odigeo customer service department to confirm that they want to cancel their trip.
The return process will be managed directly by this team, without involving third parties, with a maximum refund of 5,000 euros per person or 45,000 per trip.
According to recent studies by the company, which serves 18 million customers each year, flexibility is one of the main priorities of travelers when booking a trip, and with this new option aims to strengthen its commitment to provide customers with options more comfortable at the best price.
This new service, active in the reservations platforms of the group’s leading online brands (eDreams, Opodo, GO Voyages and Travellink), is available in 40,000 destinations and 530 airlines, and complements existing flexibility products, such as free cancellation the same day of the reservation.
