The EasyJet airline announced on Wednesday a new route for the 2020 summer season that will link Menorca and Manchester, between June 4 and October 22, with two weekly frequencies – Thursday and Sunday.
The British city thus joins the destinations with which the company seeks to bring the Menorcans closer to European cities such as Paris, Berlin or Milan, in addition to strengthening Menorca’s connectivity at a key time.
As reported in a statement, after last month announcing the route between Menorca and Nice from June 22 to August 28, it now establishes the fifth connection to the United Kingdom, where it now flies to Bristol and four of London’s airports, and the seventeenth to and from Mahon.
Between the two new routes that link Menorca with Nice and Manchester this year, the airline adds 22,200 more seats to its offer of flights to and from the Balearic island and increases its capacity by 5.5 percent from June to October 2020.
«This new connection responds to EasyJet’s commitment to listen to the needs of our consumers and to our commitment to sustained growth in Spain. We are very satisfied not only to attract tourism to Menorca, but to offer the island a gateway to the city Manchester, whether for business or leisure, «said the company’s CEO for Spain and Portugal, Javier Gándara.
