Derby Hotels has agreed with Marriott to incorporate its five-star, 91-room Hotel Banke de Paris into the catalog of the most select hotels of the American group, called the Autograph Collection. It will be the first hotel in the Parisian capital as part of this prestigious catalog.
The boutique establishment, located next to the Opera and Galeries Lafayette department store, became part of the Derby Hotels Collection in 2019.
“This agreement between the Hotel Banke and the Autograph Collection will allow us to continue offering exclusive experiences that combine history, art and gastronomy, and we want to continue transmitting the differential seal of the group to guests staying at the Banke”, said the CEO of Derby Hotels Collection, Joaquim Clos.
The hotel is housed in an emblematic building, whose construction dates back to 1772 as a palace, property of the Bonaparte family, and later as Hotel Reina Hortense. After the exile of the family, the property had different owners, including the Austrian banker Salomon Mayer Rothschiled, who bought it in 1832. Subsequently, it went to BSF. The Derby chain has 23 luxury hotels in Barcelona, Madrid, London and Paris.
