Daguisa Hotels promotes the reduction of the consumption of plastics through the ‘Think be green’ program

Daguisa Hotels has promoted the creation of the program ‘Think be green’ with the aim of eliminating the use of plastics in the hotels of the chain, an initiative that has resulted in the reduction of consumption of 10,834 cans and 8,500 pieces of plastic straws from November 2018 to January of this year.

This program, a pioneer in the Andorran hotel sector, joins other smaller projects, such as the use of ecological toilet paper or the printing of employees’ business cards on recycled paper, according to the entity in a press release.

In this sense, the director of operations of Daguisa Hotels has indicated that in the coming months the company will carry out other measures with the aim of contributing to the respect and improvement of the environment, within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy of the hotel chain.

In addition, Daguisa Hotels collaborates with other solidarity projects such as ‘Colores para el planeta’, an itinerant exhibition of various artists from different countries whose aim is to establish the culture of peace promoted by UNESCO, which will take place on March 1. In addition, on March 8 will hold a solidarity yoga event in favor of the environmental projects of the Private Foundation Bonaventura Mora Sagués.

Finally, the hotel chain has an agreement with Unicef ​​Andorra in which it is stated that the NGO will organize its charity street market ‘Els Encants Vintage’ in one of its hotels in Escaldes-Engordany.
