The company has invested more than 400 million in renewing its fleet
Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean’s ‘premium’ cruise company, has announced the itineraries for the 2020/2021 season, which include stops at more than 280 ports in 77 countries.
The company has indicated that in 2020 it will add to its fleet the ‘Celebrity Apex’, currently under construction, which will become the second ship of the ‘Edge’ class.
In addition, Celebrity Cruises is modernizing its fleet with the ‘Celebrity Revolution’ program, a project that has an investment of more than 500 million dollars (439 million euros) to redesign its fleet.
EUROPE AS MAIN MARKET
The ‘Celebrity Apex’ will begin sailing in April 2020 from Southampton where it will make a “mini season” with five cruises through northern Europe and the Atlantic coast, in summer to make itineraries of seven to 12 nights through the western Mediterranean with departures from Barcelona and Rome, visiting cities such as Naples, Florence, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia and Ibiza.
The twin ship, ‘Celebrity Edge’, will spend the 2020 season in Europe making cruises from Civitavecchia for the second year in a row. The itineraries, between ten and eleven nights, will take passengers to destinations such as Triestre (Italy), the Amalfi Coast (Malta) or the Greek islands.
For its part, the ‘Celebrity Silhouette’ will join these boats after going through the program ‘Celebrity Revolution’, making itineraries of feel to 14 nights from Southampton, visiting Iceland and Ireland with stopovers in Dublin and Reykjavik.
The ‘Celebrity Reflection’ will offer itineraries through Ireland and Iceland, 12-night trips with departure and arrival in Amsterdam through Scandinavia, Russia and the British Isles. He will also visit Rome, Israel and Turkey. Meanwhile, the ‘Celebrity Infinity’ will return to the Mediterranean to make itineraries departing from Lisbon and visit several Spanish cities and Morocco.
Finally, the ‘Celebrity Summit’ also has a transatlantic route linking Europe and North America with the 14-night cruise from the port of Cape Liberty, New York, to Dublin, and back to Boston.
CARIBBEAN AND EXOTIC DESTINATIONS
After its summer season in Europe, the ‘Celebrity Apex’ will spend its first winter in Caribbean waters, on a seven-night cruise that will sail through Caribbean waters making stops in cities such as San Juan, Florida, Costa Maya and the Cayman Islands, between others The ‘Celebrity Edge’ will also perform this route but depart every Sunday from Fort Lauderdale.
The ‘Celebrity Equinox’ will offer itineraries of nine or 12 nights during the winter months, visiting the Virginia Islands, Barbados, Aruba, Curacao and the Cayman Islands, among others. On the other hand, the Celebrity Infinity ‘will make itineraries of four or five nights with departure from Miami to different Caribbean routes. In addition, the ‘Celebrity Summit’ will return to Puerto Rico during the winter and the ‘Celebrity Reflection’ will offer itineraries of 10 and 11 nights to the most exclusive places in the Caribbean, as well as Costa Rica and Panama.
On the other hand, both the ‘Celebrity Constellation’ and the ‘Celebrity Millennium’ will make cruises in Asia, India and Dubai, while the ‘Celebrity Silhouette’ will sail to South America for the first time, taking passengers to more than 30 cities as Rio de Janeiro, Peru or Buenos Aires.
The ‘Celebrity Eclipse’ will travel to a new base port, Melbourne, where it will offer departures of eight to 14 nights through Australia and New Zealand. Its sister ship, the ‘Celebrity Solstice’ will have its base port in Sydney, and together they will visit more than 40 destinations with four unique itineraries to Hawaii on cruises from 10 to 13 nights, offering passengers the possibility of sailing from island to island. The ‘Celebrity Flora’, will sail exclusively through the Galapagos Islands with departures from Baltra throughout the year.
In addition, Celebrity Cruises repeats as Alaska destination visiting 12 destinations between Canada and the United States. The ‘Celebrity Eclipse’ will make a seven-night itinerary from Vancouver, while the ‘Celebrity Millennium’, renewed in 2019, will offer two seven-night cruises, one from Vancouver, British Columbia, and the other from Seward. On the other hand, the Celebrity Solstice ‘returns to Alaska with a seven-night itinerary from Seattle and the’ Celebrity Eclipse ‘will travel to the Pacific coast, from San Diego to Vancouver.
