Carlson Wagonlit Travel allows travelers to book flights through a mobile application

The travel management company CWT has expanded its offer of air reservations through mobile and offers travelers from twenty countries the option to book their flights directly through the myCWTTMm application that currently has more than 1.2 million travelers .

The service was tested in early 2017 and commercially launched during the second quarter of 2018. The air ticket booking function through mobile is being introduced in the largest markets in the world, including the United States, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Australia, Poland, Brazil, Denmark, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The reservation of a domestic flight can be done in just 60 seconds, from start to finish. CWT ensures that the first data shows that customers who have this option have seen a jump from 30% of the channel ‘offline’ to ‘online’, with the resulting savings in rates.

CWT’s air mobile reservations are compatible with the global distribution system (GDS) and with the content of low-cost airlines, as well as with the rates of customers and preferred airlines.

The option of air booking through mobile has features, such as an indicator of ‘best time to book’, which alerts travelers when prices are expected to rise and recommends the best time to make a reservation. This generates savings and encourages advance bookings.

In addition, a 24-hour search function offers travelers a complete list of options, including cheaper flights that are outside the specified parameters. That simplifies the booking experience for travelers while saving costs to their companies.

The CWT application has billing features for most major airlines, as well as notifications about flight delays or cancellations, boarding gate changes and security alerts.

It also offers hotel reservations through mobile that give access to more than 850,000 properties worldwide, calendar synchronization, integration of passenger profiles with the corresponding loyalty programs, as well as options for sharing content.
