Amadeus has signed a new distribution agreement with Air India whereby travel agencies in India will have access to all the international content of the airline, while those from the rest of the world will access the entire national and international range of Air India, as reported by the company on Monday.

Through this agreement, Air India will benefit from the Amadeus travel distributor community, using its professional sales platform, which uses «the best technology».

On their side, travel agencies in India will have access to the full international content of Air India, while travel sellers in the rest of the world will have access to the entire range of Air India content, both nationally and internationally.

The commercial director of Air India, Meenakshi Mallik, stressed that the renewal of the relationship with Amadeus will support the global growth strategy of the airline and has been convinced that this will be «the first step in the new trip together» .

On his side, the executive vice president of Amadeus for Asia Pacific airlines has said that the «simple, open and agile» system of Amadeus will allow Air India «to innovate, experiment and collaborate to create new products that will add value to customers»
