The City Council of Alicante prepares the beaches of the city to have them “ready” and “to be one hundred percent” facing the start of the high season next June 1.
The Councilor for Tourism, Mari Carmen of Spain, has indicated that from the first weekend of June the beaches “will have all their services one hundred percent available and prepared” in view of the “great tourist growth that is expected in high season”, has indicated in a statement
During these days the assembly of all the kiosks and beach bars and the placement of the footbridges are carried out, since their length is increased for the high season.
Also, as of June 1, the beaches will have the rescue and first aid service available daily, and will already have the special security device with the surveillance of the Local Police, as well as all the first-aid kits in operation. From Spain he recalled that all the beaches already “have the basic services in operation and are operational thanks to the cleaning work they are doing since January 1, 2019.”
The cleaning services have retired so far this year 1,024 tons of algae, mainly after the rainy season suffered the city in mid-April. Likewise, several actions have been carried out in order that the beaches were in the best conditions facing the bridges of March and Easter.
BLUE FLAGS TO EXCELLENCE
Alicante regained its Blue Flag in Tabarca Beach after more than a decade, and this year adds five quality badges on its Postiguet, San Juan, Albufereta, Saladar-Urbanova and Tabarca beaches.
