Airbus sells 40 A321neo aircraft to the Chinese group CALC for 4,670 million euros

Airbus has signed a coe Chinese group of aircraft leasing CALC for the sale of 40 additional aircraft A321neo, valued, according to the latest available catalog price, at 5,180 million dollars (4,670 million euros), according to the aeronautical company it’s a statement.

In addition, the company has modified a previous order of 15 units of the A320neo to now request the A321neos model, which, together with a previous order of 11 aircraft, means the total acquisition by CALC of 66 aircraft, for a total value 8,547 million dollars (7,705 million euros).

Airbus argues that this operation «reaffirms» the market demand for this aircraft model, due to its «unbeatable» fuel consumption and low operating costs, which would fit the needs of CALC customers.

«By incorporating the latest engines, aerodynamic advances and cabin innovations, the A321neo offers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption, as well as a 50% noise reduction. To date, the A320 family has received more than 15,300 orders and more than 9,000 aircraft have been delivered worldwide, «explains Airbus.
