Airbnb could go public before the end of 2020

The web of rentals of Airbnb tourism could go public before the end of 2020, according to sources close to the company reported by the digital media ‘The Information’.

This medium would have had access to internal communications from the company’s CEO, Brian Chesky, with his employees, to whom he promised to pay cash bonuses.

These statements by Chesky would aim to calm the company’s spirits, since the shares that have been paid to some of Airbnb employees for years expire just at the end of 2020, so if the IPO does not occur before that date, they would be lost.

It was at this point, when the CEO assured his employees that these shares would not expire before going to market, because the Airbnb roadmap includes a public offer of sale (OPV), before that date.
