Sommet Education invests in DUCASSE Education, a world-renowned institution of professional study centers in culinary arts and pastry
Sommet Education is pleased to announce the agreement by which it becomes majority shareholder of DUCASSE Education. With this acquisition, Sommet Education will be able to consolidate its position as a leader in the sector and diversify its educational offer to train the new generation of hospitality and gastronomy professionals.
Since its foundation in 1999, DUCASSE Education has transmitted its advanced knowledge in culinary arts and confectionery through its network of educational centers in France and other countries. The training courses range from degree programs and professional transition courses to continuing education courses and private classes. They are taught in three centers in France and two abroad, in the Philippines and very soon in the UAE, in addition to collaborations with universities in other countries.
The rapid rise of the gastronomic sector and of what has come to be called “the customer experience sector” has created a strong demand for expert professionals in various disciplines. From now on, Sommet Education and DUCASSE Education will be able to take advantage of their knowledge in culinary arts and hotel management to design a first level educational offer aimed at future professionals in the sector.
The union of forces between Sommet Education, a leading educational group in hotel management and ambassador of the Swiss academic model, and DUCASSE Education, a network of world-renowned study centers linked to the figure of chef Alain Ducasse, creates broad joint and solid perspectives long-term synergies between both organizations.
DUCASSE Education’s development strategy will continue to focus on providing outstanding training and combining the mastery of the culinary arts with an avant-garde treatment of the ingredients. DUCASSE Education is about to open the doors of its new Meudon campus in the city of Paris. Sommet Education will support the international expansion of DUCASSE Education and the development of centers of excellence in culinary arts and baking that it currently has.
