AccorHotels chain has signed an agreement with the travel agency Ctrip with the aim of attracting Chinese tourists, entering into its offer, which have access to more than 300 million customers, according to both companies announced in a statement.
Ctrip will include in its offer all the brands that are owned by AccorHotels, from luxury to the cheapest. In total, the 4,300 hotels and 10,000 tourist homes that make up the hotel chain’s offer will be available to Chinese customers.
The agreement is based on four lines of action: promote hotels, create a ‘flagship store’ of AccorHotels, unify loyalty programs and increase collaboration in technological infrastructures.
In addition, the president and CEO of Accor Hotels, Sebastien Bazin, has announced a plan to teach Chinese to its employees. The goal of the company is that at least 250 hotels have an “optimal” service level in that language by 2020.
