Abama Golf, nominated for best course in Spain at the World Golf Awards

The awards ceremony will take place in Abu Dhabi at the end of October

This 2019 Abama Golf has obtained the first position in the classification of the Leading Courses platform, in regards to the Canarian Archipelago fields, and has been highlighted by the Golf Digest publication as the best golf resort in Spain

Abama Golf, the field located in Guía de Isora and one of the flagship resort of the Canary Islands, has been nominated for the World Golf Awards in the category of ‘Best Golf Course in Spain’, an award that is awarded annually and that values ​​the field design, lawn quality and care that is dedicated to the environment in its management.

This emblematic course, designer by Dave Thomas, has been host to numerous professional and amateur high-profile tournaments since its inauguration in 2005, always remaining at the forefront of European golf. These tournaments include the Abama Open of the Canary Islands in the European Tour of 2005, the Tenerife Ladies Open of the Ladies European Tour of 2006, the IV Memorial Pro Am María García Estrada in 2012 or the final of the International Open Golf Team Championship in the year 2013
